Sauw Kook is currently the Assistant Chief Executive overseeing the Resources, Capabilities and Planning function that formulates policies and develops plans and programmes to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. These programmes include helping local enterprises grow their business through technology innovation, developing their management capabilities, enhancing the financing environment, and helping companies put in place management systems and processes.

Prior to this, Sauw Kook was involved in SME development work in retail, food and beverage and food manufacturing industries.

Before joining SPRING, she was a consultant in a civil engineering firm.

Sauw Kook graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honours. She also has a Degree of Master of Business Administration (Nanyang Fellows) from Nanyang Technological University.

Sauw Kook was awarded the National Day Commendation Medal in 2005.
