It was reported that the event was organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore, and that the session was chaired by Ms Jessica Tan and ICPAS President Dr Ernest Kan


  2. New building-tax scheme panned at roundtable – The Business Times, 2 March 2010

    It was reported that the new tax allowance scheme that replaces the Industrial Building Allowance (IBA) and aims to raise land productivity is not business friendly. Among numerous other Budget measures debated at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) roundtable, was the hike in foreign worker levies. In Yesterday's session was co-chaired by ICPAS president Ernest Kan and MP Jessica Tan. The news was also carried on Business Times Online and online news aggregator Lushhomemedia.

    Economists, entrepreneurs and experts debated key issues of productivity and foreign labour at the Post-Budget Roundtable. It was reported that this is the first time ICPAS is organising the Post-Budget Roundtable, co-chaired by Ms Jessica Tan and ICPAS President Dr Ernest Kan.

Changes include higher foreign worker levies and the refocusing on certain sectors of the economy.
