Olivier Servais is the Director of XBRL Activities at the IFRS Foundation, the oversight body of the IASB. The IFRS Foundation is an independent, not-for profit private sector organisation working in the public interest to develop a single set of high quality, understandable, enforceable and globally accepted financial reporting standards based upon clearly articulated principles.
Mr. Servais is responsible for coordinating the IFRS Foundation’s XBRL-related activities in order to accelerate the implementation and adoption of IFRSs with XBRL around the world. Mr. Servais has extensive experience in co-ordinating international XBRL developments, having served as Secretary General and then European Director of XBRL International, and as a member of numerous XBRL committees and working groups.
