Proposals to Amend ICPAS' Constitution- Register for the Final Session of  the Town Hall Forums

The ICPAS is seeking feedback from its members on the proposed amendments to its Constitution as set out in the Consultation Paper. The final session of the town hall forums will be held on the             25 June 2011 - 10.00 am to 12.00 noon (Lunch will be provided). Venue: City Campus, Room 1, Raffles Quay #23-00.

Audit of Financial Instruments (CODE ADT029)

ICPAS-SMU CEO Forum 2011: Leading Through Uncertainty

The Revenue Business Cycle - Processes, Risks & Controls

The ICPAS Financial Reporting Committee's Education Sub-Committee is partnering with the Singapore Academy of Law to organise a seminar to equip law professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to understand key principles in revenue internal controls. All accountants and non-accountants are welcome to attend if you are interested to learn about general business processes and explore how a company can manage, prevent or detect fraud, and to mitigate risks throughout the revenue business process.

This seminar would also be useful if you are keen to reinforce your knowledge of internal controls. The seminar will be held on 5 July.

Summary of Singapore Standard on Auditing (SSA) 530: Audit Sampling

This SSA is effective for audits of financial statements for periods commencing on or after 15 December 2009, and it replaces the extant SSA 530 Audit Sampling and Other Means of Testing. Audit sampling is the application of audit procedures to less than 100% of items within a population of audit relevance such that all sampling units have a chance of selection to provide the auditor with a reasonable basis on which to draw conclusions about the entire population.
