CODE PAC 2010
263rd - 279th January to December 2010

 
Under the rules of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS), all applicants for membership must complete module on professional ethics and other core modules as may be determined by the Council periodically.
 
The following modules will be covered and tested for the Pre-Admission Course:
 
1.  Accounting Standards
2.  Auditing Standards
3.  Legal & Other Requirements
4.  Professional Ethics
5.  Tax Matters
 
General Information on Registration
  • First-come, first-served basis.
  • Strictly no reservation of seat.
  • Confirmation of seats is secured only upon payment.
  • An email confirmation consisting of programme details (venue, time and collection of course materials, etc) will be sent to all participants upon payment received.
  • An invoice-cum-receipt will be available online and can be retrieved under the section “View My Registration”. A replacement fee of S$5.35 (incl. 7% GST) will be imposed for loss of invoice-cum receipt.
  • Closing Date - 1 week prior to course commencement date, or when maximum capacity, whichever is earlier.
  • Course Materials - Collection is only available on the first day of the PAC course at 8:30am. A replacement fee of S$32.10 (incl. 7% GST) will be imposed for loss of course materials.

Transfer of Sessions & Withdrawal from Course
  • Transfer / Withdrawals request have to be submitted in writing. The written notifications (Transfer or Withdrawal) should reach us 10 working days prior to course commencement.
  • An administrative fee of 20% of the course fee S$107.00 (Incl. 7% GST) will be imposed for request of transfers.  Transfers can only be processed via online upon full payment of PAC course fee $535 (Incl. 7% GST).
  • The withdrawal letter has to be accompanied by the original receipt / invoice-cum-receipt. An administrative fee of [S$107.00 (Incl. 7% GST)] will be imposed. Participants who have opted for withdrawals will not be allowed to sign up for the Pre-admission Course within a year from the withdrawal date.
Fees & Payment Terms
  • All fees paid are non-refundable and cannot be offset against registration / administrative fees of any transactions.
  • Request for fee waiver will not be entertained.
Attending the Course
 
It is compulsory for all participants to attend the full 5 days of the course. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has signed his/her attendance on a daily basis throughout the 5-days course. The Institute reserves the right to bar any participants from taking the test should the participants fail to achieve full attendance of the course.
 
Dress Code -Smart casual. Flip-flops and Bermudas are strictly disallowed. The Institute reserves the right to bar any participants from class should the rule be flouted.
 
Pre-Admission Course (PAC) Test
  • The test will be held on the last day of the course, from 4:15pm to 5.45pm.
  • Participants will have 1 ½ hours to complete 125 questions (25 questions for each module).
  • The test format will be in: Multiple-choice questions, True/False and/or short-answer questions.
  • A 50% pass for each individual module is required in order to pass the PAC Test.
  • Attendance and Result Notification Letter will be available online 2 - 3 weeks after the PAC Test. The result can be retrieved at www.icpas.org.sg/cpe, under the section “My CPE > My Attendance History”.  Telephone and email enquiries will not be entertained.
  • Participants are advised to retain the Result Notification Letter for future references. Any request for duplicate copies of the result notification letter has to be made in writing via email to pac@icpas.org.sg, and will be subjected to an administrative fee of S$21.40 (Incl. 7% GST) and the Institute's availability of such past records (especially for PAC test which are taken more than 10 years ago).
